Does Chirpie have a free plan with API access?

Yes. Chirpie's Free plan includes the REST API and the hosted MCP server for 50 posts a month on one account. Paid plans start at $9 a month for one account and $19 a month for three.

Does Buffer have an API and an MCP server?

Yes, both first-party. Buffer's public API is GraphQL at api.buffer.com, its CLI installs skill files for Claude Code and Codex, and its hosted MCP server at mcp.buffer.com/mcp works on every plan, Free included. The difference from Chirpie is the shape: GraphQL there, REST and JSON with a TypeScript SDK here.

Is Chirpie cheaper than Buffer?

It depends on whether you are limited by channels or by posts. Buffer charges per channel, $6 a month each on Essentials billed monthly, with scheduled posts unlimited, so 10 channels cost $60. Chirpie charges a flat $49 a month for 10 accounts with 5,000 posts. One or two busy channels are cheaper on Buffer; many quiet ones on Chirpie.

Can I run Buffer and Chirpie side by side?

Yes. A common split is a human-planned marketing calendar in Buffer and automated or agent-written posts through Chirpie's API. Each social account is connected to both, and nothing in either product prevents it.

What limits does Buffer put on API use?

Buffer caps API requests per 30 days by plan (3,000 on Free, 7,500 on Essentials, 15,000 on Team) and per day (250 on Free and Essentials, 500 on Team). Chirpie limits posts per month and bursts of requests per minute instead.
