Google Business Profile posting API for AI agents

How Chirpie lets an AI agent publish Google Business Profile updates from one API call or an MCP tool, with an optional photo and scheduling.

Updated October 2026

How do you post to Google Business Profile from an AI agent?

Connect a business location to Chirpie, then send one request with the update's text and an optional photo, or ask your agent in Claude or ChatGPT. Chirpie publishes it as an update on the business profile, the post shown on the listing in Search and Maps, so the agent never handles Google's OAuth itself.

Google Business Profile is coming soon to Chirpie.

What Chirpie does on Google Business Profile

  • Publishes updates: text of up to 1,500 characters on the connected location's profile.
  • Attaches a photo: one photo per update, up to 10 MB, or none for a text-only update.
  • Schedules updates: a future schedule_at queues the update, and Chirpie publishes it within about five minutes of that time.
  • Deletes updates: deleting the post in Chirpie removes it from the profile too.
  • Checks media first: a video, or more than one photo, is refused with a clear error before Google is called.

How the connection works

You sign in with the Google account that manages the business and approve Chirpie, from the dashboard or by asking your agent to connect it. Chirpie stores the tokens encrypted and refreshes them on its own. The location then appears in GET /api/v1/accounts with an id your requests name as account_id.

Post from code

curl -X POST https://chirpie.ai/api/v1/posts \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer chirpie_sk_YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "account_id": "YOUR_LOCATION_ACCOUNT_ID",
    "text": "Open late this Friday until 10pm for the holiday market.",
    "media_urls": ["https://example.com/storefront.jpg"],
    "schedule_at": "2026-11-20T14:00:00Z"
  }'
import { ChirpieClient } from "@chirpie/sdk";

const chirpie = new ChirpieClient({ apiKey: process.env.CHIRPIE_API_KEY });

await chirpie.createPost({
  account_id: "YOUR_LOCATION_ACCOUNT_ID",
  text: "Open late this Friday until 10pm for the holiday market.",
});

Every field is in the Posts API reference, and uploads are in Media.

Post from Claude or ChatGPT

Chirpie is listed in the Claude Connectors Directory, so in Claude you add it from the listing and sign in. In ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client you add https://chirpie.ai/mcp. Then ask in plain language:

  • "Post our holiday hours to the Google Business Profile with this storefront photo."
  • "Every Monday this month, schedule a short update about the weekly special."

Setup for each assistant is in Use Chirpie with Claude and the MCP Server page.

Frequently asked questions

What does Chirpie publish to Google Business Profile?

An update on the business's profile, the post that shows on the business listing in Google Search and Maps. It carries the post's text and, if you attach one, a photo.

How long can a Google Business Profile post be?

Up to 1,500 characters.

Can I attach a photo?

Yes, one photo per post, in a photo format of up to 10 MB. A post without a photo publishes as text alone.

Which business location does the post go to?

The location connected as that Chirpie account. Each location you connect is its own account with its own id.

Can I delete a post through Chirpie?

Yes. DELETE /api/v1/posts/{id} removes the update from the business profile, and Chirpie keeps its own record of the post marked deleted.
